Egbuka's hamstring injury occurred during the team's victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, and his availability for future games remains uncertain. Godwin, who made a remarkable recovery from a serious ankle injury last year, returned to play in Week 4 but missed the recent game due to a different injury. Irving, who suffered an injury in Week 4, has missed the past two games.
The situation is particularly concerning for Godwin and Irving, as Hall of Fame cornerback Ronde Barber expressed his concerns on The Ronde Barber Show. He stated, 'The ones that worry you are Bucky and Godwin. I can't get a solid answer on what's wrong with either of them.'
Interestingly, neither Godwin nor Irving has been placed on the injured reserve list, which would have kept them out for at least four weeks. Despite the injury to Godwin's fibula, which affects the same leg as his previous ankle injury, it is unclear if there is a connection. The team's decision to sign Godwin to a substantial contract without specific injury protections raises questions about the potential risks involved.
